經過美聯外卡資格賽球迷從上方丟擲啤酒罐差點砸到金鶯隊韓國外野手金賢洙的事件，藍鳥隊決定，接下來在剩下的季後賽，都不讓球迷直接拿啤酒罐喝，而要倒在塑膠杯中。

藍鳥隊也要求球場內警衛與販售酒類人員，也要注意相關事件再發生。

不過藍鳥隊球迷真的是出了名愛丟東西，去年對遊騎兵隊在季後賽也有球迷丟啤酒罐，所以有必要暫時禁止。
